Acquire: Influencer

There is a common belief that influencing others requires a big movement of thoughts and deep strategy. I disagree.

I believe that the first lever of influence is on the subverbal level of communication. Influence begins with the breath.

The fact is that how the room feels about what you have said or your vocal line is more about your expression of air in the silence. Do you hold your breath or breathe deeply? Is your breath the impulse for meaningful discourse? Does your breathing feel generous?

These simple data points can determine how committed your audience will be to your content.

Today, remember the exercise from yesterday. Breathe in something that smells wonderful to you and let that inspiration become your expression.
