Disrupt: Embrace the Brace

Today in Boston, there is an expectation of snow. The morning is cloudy and gray and the temperature is dropping.

It is a classic recipe for holding. Holding breath and holding musculature as we brace for the impact of winter weather. When this process begins each year we fight it — We attempt to push through and claim victory. That will work, today. But, how about tomorrow?

The winter is long in the northeast, so instead of fighting, why not surrender? Take care with warm beverages and nourishing foods. Dress warmly and move slowly. Let ease invade the push inherent in our working days.

Respect the tendency you are in today so that your body will yield when you need it to loosen up tomorrow.
