Observe: Moments of Panic

You all the know the feeling. You realize you have forgotten something important. Let’s say posting to your blog by your deadline. Just me?

For you it might be a missed call or appointment, or forgetting to move the car, but the result is the same — Momentary panic.

A jolt of adrenaline, and a entire physiological cascade the range of which can be as varied as humans themselves. The key is to recover — fix what you can, forgive yourself, and move on. Importantly, observe what you are feeling and don’t let yourself linger there. Dance it out, run it out, yell it out, or one of my favorites, shake it out. Observe the difference.

Oh, and don’t forget to breathe.
