Observe: Signs and Portents

Here in North America, Spring is trying to arrive. It can be seen in the odd flowers sprinkled around and the brave, early flowering trees here in the city of Boston.

This brings up two very important aspects of vocal communication.

  1. Communication is interactive. We are built for this interaction and so the release of Winter into Spring makes the body want to shift too. You may want to be outside more or move more, or maybe just change the types of foods you eat. The body tends to want to change as the Seasons change.
  2. Pollen is real. Some of us will suddenly go to war, with ourselves, about whether the Spring is lethal. If this is you (courage), it is time to take precautions so that your voice has a chance to survive the mucus that is coming your way. Finding out what types of allergy relief work for you is really important. Also, I am a huge fan of nasal rinses for allergies as long as you are really safe with the type of water you use and how well you sanitize your rinse bottle.

Spring is Coming. Be ready.
