Office Space: The View From Here

I just moved. In my new house, the view from my desk is now a lake instead of another building. My work has not changed in any other way. In fact, it is currently harder to accomplish as I hunt for the right boxes looking for things I need. Still, it feels incredible to work right now. This is because our perspective colors our experience.

The fact is that the view itself is not really changing my outlook. In actuality, my breathing has changed, my intention changed, and my inspiration changed. The view is just a catalyst and those don’t necessarily have to be “real.”

What are you hoping to accomplish that needs a change in outlook? This can be personal or professional. What needs a touch of inspiration right now?

You can change your view by either literally changing it, moving your space around or hanging a new picture or art piece, or mentally changing it. You can imagine yourself achieving your goal, you can envision that future where you are successful in achieving it. That will change your breathing, your intention, and your inspiration. No lake required.

If you want to take this even further, find the words for what you desire and speak them out loud. It may seem a little odd but the brain is an odd place. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
