Flow: Sparkly

It is snowing in MA, and much of the Northeast, this morning.

Snow is always some combination of annoyance and wonder for me. Today, working from home with no need to leave, it is pretty sparkly.

We sometimes talk about inspired speech or singing. We discuss people as being gifted in their voice use. What we don’t often discuss is what we mean by that.

I think we mean that a performance or presentation has transcended the expected, the normal. I also know from experience that those performances are seeded with as much wonder as preparation. They are sparkly — with excitement, with beauty. They are bubbling with memories of snowy days, chance meetings, and human experience.

The invitation today is to take a moment. Whether you have snow today or not. No matter how horrible your commute was and may yet be. Find a little magic and breathe it in. Store that seed for later.
