Observe: Who Do You Think You Are?

Recently, I have been thinking about the beliefs we hold about who we are.

Some of us define ourselves in blissfully favorable terms, while others have a list, large or small, of the ways in which we are lacking. Each of these extremes has issues to be sure but I've been thinking about those people who are not thinking about themselves at all. Not about how they present themselves to the world, nor even about how they'd like to.

It reminds me of the Lewis Carroll quote, "If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there." In this case, I think of it as if you don't know how you wish to be received, then any message will do.

We can't choose how others see us or receive our content. We can, however, know what we want, what we intend for each interaction. If only so that we are traveling on a road of our own choosing rather than one of chance.

Today, I'd love to invite you to visit with your beliefs about yourself and how you wish to enter the world. Note where you are in congruence with those beliefs and where you are not. Notice if you haven't given it much thought before now, and be curious as to why you haven't.

The human organism will not stop to wait for you to decide on a path for actualization. The organism will survive, it is up to you to live.
