Perform: Instrument of Change

There is an instrument within you.
I believe that your body is a creator of musical sounds, some of which are speech. That this voicing is utilized for precision work, connection, and communication. I believe that we use voice as a means to an end. By multiple definitions, that is an instrument.
Singers get this but speakers sometimes struggle. Instruments are musical, aren't they? Surely, One must need specialized talent or a gift in order to have an instrument. Well, no.
Moreover, I do not believe you have an instrument, I believe you ARE an instrument.
This instrument can work haphazardly, communicating within a limited scope. Or, this instrument can be an agent of change.
The vocal body can change how efficiently you breathe impacting overall health. It can change how you connect with other human beings. It can, through the intentional application of thought, change anything in this world.
I get that many people still think of the voice only in passing -- Never realizing that the voice has never been just two muscles for the making of sound. The vocal folds are an air valve, that learned how to sing because humans needed more tools.
