If social media is any indicator, we are becoming more entrenched in our opinions. Perhaps it has always been important to be right, to have the superior position. It now seems equally or more important to declare someone wrong and to tear that person down. Or even to register an opinion about something you have no vested interest in because others are doing it.

Today, I am not going to wade into the right or wrong way to communicate. I do want you to observe yourself. Are you more vested in being right or in proving others wrong? Do you use your surety to justify bad behaviors towards others? Or, are you justifying not engaging because you may be wrong?

There are hard facts in life but there is a lot of nuance and variance in opinion. What are your patterns?
