Observe: Sick Day

March 2, 2020
5 min read

My daughter is home sick today. This requires adjustments in my schedule, but importantly it requires observation. As worries about the flu and coronavirus are in public conversation, a little observation can help us all.

  • How are you feeling?
  • How well slept are you?
  • Are you well-nourished/hydrated?
  • How is your stress?

These little self-care questions are actually huge when it comes to engaging in the room. Your vocal cords have primary survival functions and your voice use is not one.

In order to fully embody your voice, you must care for and respect the body you are in.

Stay healthy out there.
