Office Space: Words Unsaid

There are all sorts of reasons people omit thoughts from a conversation, some of them quite good. Still, some omissions make good communication falter. These are a few:
- If you avoid speaking because it shows what you don't know yet.
- In order to "be competitive."
- Because you dislike someone who might be helped by your speaking.
- If you avoid speaking because it is hard.
These types of words unsaid can shake the cohesion of a team and build distrust where there could be clarity.
The invitation today is this -- Give yourself a little truth time. If you are holding back some of your thoughts in conversation, make sure you can identify and defend the reasons why.
