Perform: Desert Island

A theme in my life this week is the Inner Voice or that part of yourself that speaks about your dreams, your purpose. That aspirational part of yourself.

This voice can be hard to hear because our days are filled with devices and distractions, some of which are unavoidable. So how do you cultivate a relationship with the inner voice and why should you?

Your inner voice is the keeper of your accumulated knowledge. It knows you on a deep level. It may be a source of strength and creativity or it could be broadcasting the things you need help with. Inner voice also co-pilots with the outer voice so we need to give it room to say it's piece.

This does not mean that the inner voice gets a pass to shower you in negativity. Whether there is a neurological difference present, or not, the inner voice can get negative. The point is not to wrap yourself in that, but to get to the bottom of it all.

Today try cultivating a desert island mentality. If we consider what we would want with us on a desert island. If we really consider who we would be without the creature comforts, without the structure of our current life -- what would it look like? After you have read all the books, done all the things, and explored all the conversation possible - What is left? What would your inner voice say if it was the loudest voice in the room?
