Variance: Concentration

Concentration -- This word means a lot of different things to different people right now. The number of cases of SARS-CoV-2 in a location. Or perhaps, the detention centers where migrants and refugees, some children, are being held in this country. All over the world, it is about the flashpoints of rage over the death of George Floyd and systemic racism. All of these apply, but I want to ask you to personally concentrate.

Concentration: the action or power of focusing one's attention or mental effort.

Focus your attention on what is being said. Listening deeply, with your humanity, observing where you want to attack, deny, or look away. Breathe through the hard parts but keep engaged. There is so much human communication in this air we breathe. So many voices are screaming right now. Can you hear them? If not, please concentrate.
