Variance

Observe: Variance

Sometimes we get used to how things are. It is afteral human nature to observe and rely on patterns. We can start to believe that the way things are at the moment are a set place, unchanging and unchangeable.

Today, I’d like you to notice when there is variance in this signal. Where things have changed in ways big or small. This variance may be within you, in your voice, or general feeling. Note your response to the variance. Did you adapt smoothly? Did it throw you a little, or a lot?

Variance is always present and accepting variance (where it wouldn’t destroy good work) is key to being in command of the room.

Here is more variance for you. I will be traveling notably to the National Speakers Association Influence conference and then taking some long-awaited time off. This means things will be a little different around here until August 12th. I will post from Influence daily 7/27-7/31.
